object is a dramatic shape to be placed on such a mundane background...need solid background for shape & shadow to really shine and would also accentuate the different textures in the object rather than background.

different background, maybe - except i like the highlight behind the ball - 7 - ps, cool medical gizmo - wish i had stuff like this on my desk

Don't understand the title but like the picture. Like the tones, the clearness, the wood grain, and the light.

The shiney table gives too much glare and ruins the nice light on the hip thing (not sure I wanted to see what one looks like)

Good composition. The subject might have been more striking with a different background that would not have pulled the attention away from the main subject and its shadows. The reflection is a little bright too, but good effort.

Well that's really interesting. Can't say I've ever seen one of these before. I feel this meets the challenge well, however I think that the lighting near the "ball" might be a bit harsh on the table. The lighting on the hip prosthesis its self is great, just the glare from the table is harsh. Angle and framing/cropping are nice. And you focus is great. I have to admire that, as it was the hardest part of the challenge for me. Nice shot. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~
