Looks like a painting from the time of Blue Boy. I like. Just wish you could have gotten rid of the little bit of shadow. Other wise real good. |

Very nice lighty for the color of his skin. The background is a little distracting, Maybe if you cropped all the background out. good Job. Vote 7 Sonifo |

Great portrait...good use of light..reminds me of a Rembrandt painting...I would have cropped it from the left side a little and more from the right side. |

I like this. As a portrait, this really speaks to me. If I had any kind of complaint at all, well, there seems to be some hint of fog? I don't know, it's not soft focus and it's definately not haze, but it is something. Not that big of a thing. 9 Swash |

He does not look happy at all to be having his photo taken. I really like the angle and framing/cropping you have chosen. The backdrop is nice, although I feel that his shirt blends into the shadows a bit too much, as does his hair. Other than that though, it is a well though out, well executed photo, your focus is very nice. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~ |

You didn't have a little sign with some numbers on it he could hold up? It's a little mugshottish. Good luck - Inspzil |

Nice portrait. LOTS of mood, too muted and I don't much like the wrinkles in the sheet backdrop.they distract from the shadow cast. |

very strong portrait shot. I would have liked to see a little more draping in your background to carry the shadow play all the way to the right in composition. (I am sure others will say just the opposite!) very good work! |

I would have liked this one better if you would have just the light on his face and you couldn't see the curtain behind him. |

Mean, moody, magnificent. I'd like to see this in portrait rather then landscape, as it reminds me of those old portraits by Rembrandt |

Very nice. I like how you used a dark background, but not so dark that the shadow wouldn't show, as it adds to the mystery of this man. A definite dramatic photo. 9 |
