 Backlit Mats Jonasson (Maleras) glas from the 1996 series. Light by a small and low, but very hotburning candle (camera measured -2.3 EV). Autobracketing was on, this shot is -0.3EV.
Manual Whitebalance, but purpose was to get some warmth into the glass.
At first the light was to intense, burning out the center. A piece of glass between the source and the subject lowered the intensity, but did create the dark band in the middle.
This is a crop from a 900x676 resample.

nice lighting and good composition! you can see the line across the middle where part of the light is hiding behind something.

Very nice! I wanted to do something like this with my etched dolphins, but couldn't get anything that looked nice. You ahve done a wonderful job with this. angle and framing/cropping are great, and your focus is wonderful. that was my huge problem in this challenge, so I admire that. Love the warm feel the light gives to the bears, although they look cold. Nice shot. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~
