 Totally shoehorning this in, did not take with the challenge in mind so I´ll take whatever score you´ll throw at me :) Just saw that there were so few entries and I felt this shot had a bit of a "fairy tale" feel to it so I just picked a title from a list that I felt fit it. I have since read the story and frankly it has nothing to do with this shot. Sure, there was a princess in the story but that´s about it, the water itself was more of a fountain and the story was about 3 brothers.

I have always wanted to do a photoshoot in this pool and that friday night me, Aðalbjörg Ósk (the model) and her friend Ingibjörg set out after work to do a shoot there. We got held up though and got there very late or about 30 minutes later than I would have wanted, it was almost pitch black. Well fortunately Ingibjörg was a very capable assistant and she held a 580ex flash for me wich I triggered wirelessly to light this shot. Henný did the makeup but didn´t come along for the photoshoot.

As you can see by the settings, it was very dark but I think that added to the shot, it´s taken handheld at 1/5 shutterspeed and that´s causing the black line on the side of her head, like Alexsaberi mentions in the comments.

Post processing was not much, raw conversion and I removed some reflection of her underwater, next time I´ll bring black fabric so that won´t be a problem.

I did a shoot a few days ago similar to the lighting situation here. i got that dark line in a few of my shots as well. i think it helps your shot though, im a little suprised it didnt show up in the reflection on the water as much as it did on the model.

a beautiful image - stunning stuff all around - but I really didn't know this story at all and had to look it up - hopefully you don't suffer too badly in score because this story seems a bit on the obscure side

Gorgeous colours, fantastic reflection, clear focus and sharp image. Only criticism would be that the expression on the model's face doesn't seem to reflect "life"...it's almost as though she's going to snap at someone! *grin*

That dark shadow down one side of her face is a bit strange, almost looks like she's been pasted on but otherwise, the shot is gorgeous. The soft look of the water is lovely and the cool colours are nice against her skin.
