The initial impact is stunning. Upon reflection, the dark edges are bit extreme for me. Still a beautiful image though.

Beautiful bird. I'm not sure all the vignetting and red adds anything to the image. I just sit here looking at everything but the bird.

IMO the editing is a little harsh, I think there's just a little too much contrast between the white bird & the background. You did a nice job of not blowing out the highlights though. Again, just my 2 cents.

My first impression was - nicely done. However the more I look at it, the further away from "wildlife" my mind goes. It stands strong as a symbol, yet not sure as a topic contender.
