 WOW!! Man, how cool is this? For more than a year i've wondered what it would feel like to win a Blue ribbon, and it kinda feels like a first kiss. (Without all the awkwardness and tongue squishing and wetness and stuff)

A quick look at the setup as some wondered about the background:

The image in the background is an inverted shot of ART ROFLMAO (as in the marble) on my computer screen. Upside down might show it to you better:





The woody was placed in front of it, and then with the magical 50mm I managed to get a nice DOF to blur him out as much as I could.

It took a lot of tries to get him in focus and in position without distorting him as well as keep the woody in a nice composition.

Processing includes half a draganizer, half Acidifier and then some random dodging and burning, NI and USM.

far out krige .. killer shot & fantastic processing .. love your write up about the first kiss and the squishiness and stuff .. you made me laugh not once but twice .. firstly for the shot and your title, and then for how winning the blue felt for you .. must say you express yourself extremely well .. lol ..

Nice idea and you achieved the intent well. Perhaps the brightest area fromt he backdrop being centred around the hands would draw completeattention to it rather than the area beteen the head and the hands

Nicely done! Foreground part of the illusion works very well. Not so sure about the bright shape in the background because I can't quite figure out what it is or what it adds to the tale.
