I thought I'd commented on this already. It's a wonderful image, beautifully post-processed. It fascinates me that such devastation is positively *glowing* in this image, it's a great juxtaposition. |

Beautifully done. Laurie L2 added some thoughts about this shot in a thread and she did a good job of articulating what I saw in this. First, it's an excellent photograph and really nice HDR work without looking cartoonish at all. But second, and more importantly, it does, in the face of destruction, show the hope of a new cycle of growth to come. |

Very nice tones. I like this and how it reminds me of a fire I once witnessed. Scary. |

great atmosphere, good choice of b&w, and good viewpoint/composition and editing. feels really like it is after major a catastrophy. |

I think i know this style but will vote anyway. Tonemapped to perfection here with a cluttered but interesting route through the picture. |

Great shot. Very dramatic and no doubt what you are trying to convey. The post-editing is done very well and is appropriate. 10 |

This is a great image. I'm finding a bit of lack of clarity though, due to the processing. |

To me, the trees still look like they are on fire. Almost like a ghost of the fire still looms. |

feels like I'm in Yellowstone.
More processed than is my taste but the tonality is well handled.
Not sure it really speaks to me of the loss or renewal that's going on. |

Southern California? Excellent detail. Is that done with image enhancement software? Is that smoke or clouds in the sky? |

A realy difficult subject very well done. That said the image doesn't really hold my interest .. I think it needed something more in the foreground. |

Nice use of sepia... the dark clouds are reminiscent of the fire... this looks like a charcoal sketch. Cool. |

Epic! Your treatment certainly contributes to the feeling of how cyclical these fires can be - this could be a picture from 100 years ago. The forest burns, feeds the ground, heals & grows back stronger & richer.
