 Day 8 of Whatevers

Yes, indeedy, we have a piglet at the animal shelter :-) The little fellow was apparently not so keen on being someone's main course and managed to escape, and then elude Animal Control for over a week. Now that he's found sanctuary he will be turned over to a piggie rescue group or retirement farm ... he is a lucky little piglet!

I did use fill flash but I don't think it's blatant enough for that challenge ;-)

PP - converted from RAW, cropped, mostly desaturated, levels, increased contrast, added border, resized, sharpened.

I find this very appealing, and I think it's due to the muted colors. You're probably right about the fill flash not being blatant enough, but then again fill flash really shouldn't be all that apparent, should it?

An excellent shot of a piglet! He's a rather cute little guy, too. But seriously, very nice control of light and exposure - tough to get detail in black animals and you did that very well here.

I always wanted a pig for a pet. I know I'm a little strange. But they are so smart! Good on him for escaping the plate!
