 The concept is of a lonely old man who is walking down by the river where the light is sparse, he stops for a moment to appreciate the light before he carries on his journey.

Process:

Import from raw > curves adjustments > dodge / burn > saturation > colour adjustments > resize > sharpen
Disqualification Details
You must retain your original, unedited file (exactly as recorded by your camera), and provide it to the Site Council along with a list of your editing steps within 48 hours of any validation request. Files that have been saved or altered with any editing or transfer software are NOT originals.

the light really drives this shot forward - and the fantastic expression on the man's face is just priceless - i just wish the very far right of the image was cropped - that one line coming down seems to be almost an odd border and does not add much IMO

I think I would have liked it better without the light streaks, it is drawing my eye too much. Fabulous portrait though, he looks like fun
