This may be the best idea I've seen for this competition. The end result was just a bit soft and over-saturated, but it's still an excellent shot. Great job!

Great idea! You should score very well with this entry. I might have cropped a little more from the top and bottom so the red handle hit the edge. This might give it a little more depth. Very nice as it is. Good luck.

God idea and a good capture as well.
Maybe a little over saturated... heck I am guilty of that too.
I would like to know your exposure details and such I am thinking of recreating a photo like this for myself. Oh yea I scored it an 8

Looks to me like a tough shot to set up, so that means it's probably pretty simple, lol. In any event, you've met the challenge very nicely. Good action, colors, background. Would have had even more "pop" if there was a hand holding the red handles. Ouch!

Thats dangerous!!!!!! didnt your mother teach you not to play with sparks like that..... you could have burned off your shooting finger and then where would you be?!!!!

Awesome shot. You captured the spark beautifully. I love the solid black background. It gives great contrast. I would expect this to be a top contender in this challenge.

one word ..... EXPLOSIVE! this is what i wanted to do , but didnt have the resources .... as well as the skill :) .... how many attempts did it take to get that kind of spark?

Beautiful!!!! One of my favorites. Great timing. Looks a little soft, but it works for me with the sparks. I would like to be able to see the handles on the black side a little more. 9.

I wish you could have gotten a bit more light on the black handle or lightened the backround behind it to make it show a bit better, but this is one of my favorites of the challenge. good on topic idea well executed.
