Critique Club
Definately grabs your attention and meets the challenge well. Has a good deal of interest but the lighting is a bit harsh. Other than improving the lighting there wasn't much else I would do to improve it.

| Great shot! The hot spot in the middle (and on the central and 7:00 ant) is a distraction for me. Is it available light? |

light is to harsh.. use manual controls so flash is not needed or an alternate light source

| Lighting is way too harsh here. There is a light glare on the peoney, and bad shadows on the right side. looks like you used direct flash. it didn't work in this situation.This shot has a lot of detail, and I think that it could be a really nice shot if you could find a better way of lighting it. ~Heather~ |

| hmm, i think the flash is a bit too much. maybe if there were a different light source, it would look a little better. |

I would have given the centered a 10 but I thought the main subject was the ants not the plant. Good pictuer

| Nice macro, good job with the focus. The hot spot from the flash is a bit distracting. You could try putting a sheet of tissue paper in front of your flash to help diffuse the light. |

| Funny to get two shots of these ants on Peonies. I went outside to see mine and ......yes covered with ants also!! :) That sticky must be very sweet. Your shot is okay but the light is harsh and causes a glare. |

| Glare of the flash right in the middle detracts from the very interesting ants. |

| For me the lighting is a little harsh around the center, where color is lost. Still a very interesting shot. Nice detail and clarity. |
