I think this captures her personality as a gardener. I don't care for the border.

joyous celebration of a color and a pretty lady.
Not too into the red border, but what ever. :) +1

centered comp distracts as does the intensity of the midday sun which over blows the flowers. Beautiful garden

I like the flowers and the woman in the middle to give an idea of scale. I don't really like the red border, though it does match many of the flowers.

I would change the frame

seems a little over exposed to me

Nice concept, although I'd prefer a closer crop and a non centered composition.

I think the red frame was a mistake

The garish border wasn't necessary. The scene itself has sufficiently strong color that the eyes don't need pulled to the sides. Otherwise, nicely framed and a good environmental portrait.

What beautiful flowers, a nice setting for this portrait. Not too fond of the red border, sorry.

I love the colors and the contrast. The red border seems to me to be distracting, though.

The red border is killing it for me.

Striking use of border. The blue top looks a little out of place but nice shot all the same.

A nice scenery with beautiful flowers. But the first thing I saw when this image loaded was the dominating red frame. A frame should focus attention to your subject but in this case its stealing the attention.

I'm probably not the only one to say that red frame has to go! Nice family snap, however.

light is a little on the harsh side, nice garden tho

03/12/2009 09:08:35 PM
too much detail in the surroundings that overpower the subject.. also red border seems over-done

Those are some really tall plants. I like that she is standing in the middle to show how large the flowers are.

The flowers are nice but seem a little overexposed. Harsh lighting to work with. Careful of red borders- they can be a distraction from the picture.

Look at the size of those flowers! Beautiful! Nicely composed as well. Only thing that detracts to me is the red border. I think if you wanted a border on it maybe black would have been more appealing. Just my humble opinion.

the border really doesn't work for me, nice shot though

03/11/2009 02:20:11 PM
the person gets lost in all these flowers. nice shot, but too busy in my opinion

Great idea and execution. Perhaps a red shirt instead of a blue one might have been even better camouflage.

Awful border. Why?

03/11/2009 01:52:22 AM
Her gorgeous smile is beautifully framed by the garden. Only thing I'm not too keen on is the red border.

03/11/2009 12:59:46 AM
what a pretty place, the border is to distracting, a dark one would have framed the red in your photo better
