I'm afraid I'm not completely read-up on my urban legends, so I cannot with authority say whether this fits the challenge; but it seems to me that it does. Also, I like the photo. There is motion, commotion, confusion, and it's all in a pleasant color palette. If this rated the worst in a competition, then there must have been a lot of phenomenal shots. I'm glad to see there were other photographers who liked it. And its low rating makes it a little easier to find at the site: that's how I found it. Keep taking pictures - I happen to like most of the photos I've seen at your profile. |

This shot is unique and interesting. I like it and voted 7. Definitly not the last place!
@ marbo: Who are you, that you leave such bitchy comments? Very poor... By the way: Your lightsource submission (your sole submission up to date) was IMHO!! a 7 too - same score like this 'Alien Abduction' shot. Constructive criticism is helpful an welcome. But not in this manner. Do you undestand what I mean? |

I agree with Arachnophilia here. I didn't score it as high as a ten but an 8. I think it suffers from bad JPEG compression but I liked the blur and the colours. The abstract and "snapshot" look fits perfectly to the idea of the photo. Don't let you down Emil, IMHO your photo was way better than many others in this challenge. Keep on photographing! |

sometimes i just don't get why things get voted the way they do. this one was my favourite shot this week. i gave it a ten. and it came in last.
i think it's composed interestingly, has nice colors, good lines, and yes -- fulfills the challenge. has anyone ever seen the kinds of pictures normally taken of ufos? alot of them happen to look exactly like this, only not as artistic.
i am a firm believer in two things: the abstract, and the random shot. and i happen to love this photo.

Well, I will apologize if I don't see this photo the same way you do. I think it is suposed to represent an alien abduction, but I can't tell what objects in this shot are at all. It's way too blurry to get detail out of anything. While I realize you meant to do this, I think that there should be SOMETHING recognizable in the shot that makes us even remotely think that it could be an alien abduction. Otherwise, this is just a blurry photo with little meaning to me. Sorry that I'm not seeing it. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~ |

Sorry but to me this is far to blurry. |

I'm afraid this just doesn't do too much for me. This reminds me of a picture I once took when I was in the middle of dropping a camera on the floor accidentally... |

This is a collection of blurry lights, not an urban legend. |

This image holds some interesting abstract value, but it does not effectively, if at all, show your interpretation of the challenge topic. Even with your title, I can't relate the image... - setzler |
