I feel the tight crop on heaven bound Chickenburger adds to the "not of this earth" feel. If anything, I would crop tighter (off with the head and only include the top arches of the logo), to draw attention to the head of the pigeon behind the lamp.
Well seen, and worthy of the PH Blue.

I love this! Totally brilliant. The pigeon peeking out from behind the lamp is an extra bonus. Congrats on the posthumous acknowledgment!

I'm getting better at picking the "posthumouses"... I called this one totally! :) |

Congratulations on your Posthumous Blue!! This is a very deserving photo for that award, and I'm glad you appreciate it, too! |

Thank you posthumous, I'm really honored! And so happy! It feels good to evoke something special with a photo and be recognized, and this one had this feeling definitely, but I never dreamt of getting a Posthumous ribbon, and the Blue on top of it! Thank you all for your great comments!

I see from your notes that my own critique was anticipated. I play that game of trying to predict the critiques. At least it makes a low scoring entry into a game of sorts. Congrats on the Posthumous ribbon! |

All the things my eye is drawn to are cut off at the edges of the frame. |

I think this is an "almost". I think you needed to capture the entire bird. |

I think it would be better if the flying pigeon was a little lower in the shot making it more the focus. Also the reflection on the sign is pretty distracting. |

I'm not sure i like seeing the pigeon, which is the main subject, out of the frame. |

It's too bad the pigeon ended up at the very top of the frame... I think if there was a little space above it, this photo would have more impact. But it's not like you can ask the pigeon to hover while you snap your photo. ;) I really like the concept here though, and the composition is otherwise excellent. The curious combination of the three various subjects is somehow whimsical and amusing. |

LOL! Definitely one of the better titles. I quite like the addition of the bulbs on the right, and the pigeon hiding there. |

:) I have to admit, I really like the chaos of this image...harsh light on the sign has been well earned by McD, and we all know that Pigeons are survivors, so if they must, McD it is... |
