This is an abstract shot of my Vincent Bach Stradivarius Tenor Trombone with F Attachment Model 42. My parents gave this horn to me in 1979 while in middle school. This September, thirty years later, this horn was handed down to my son James (' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/31_N.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/31_N.gif', '/') + 1) . ' jrrose1) when he entered middle school. It served me well for high school, college, and professional playing for more than 20 years. Hopefully, he can enjoy similar success. In the background of the shot, you can see the outline of my current horn, a Getzen bass trobone with F/D double dependent valves.

Lovely use of repetitive patterns. What always impresses me when you photograph your instruments is the complete lack of glaring reflections. Amazing. Such a beautiful homage to your memories and times together, and now for your son as well.

Peter, congrats on the fine score and another ribbon! I knew this was doing really well cause I saw your average score going up and up! Especially sweet since the trombone has such sentimental value to your family.

Very well deserved ribbon with this one. I realized after I'd voted and commented (OK, a day or so later) that this one was probably yours given, well, your username. :-) Excellent light.
