Challenge: Stopped Motion (Classic Editing)
Camera: Canon Digital IXUS v2
Location: My Room, Dundee
Date: Apr 8, 2002
Aperture: F/7.3
ISO: -
Shutter: 1/60
Date Uploaded: Apr 11, 2002

Taken in a make shift studio set up in my room. I soaked a towel in water and hung it from the ceiling, letting the water drip down into a glass on the floor. I then took 100's of photos resulting in about 6 or so pictures that were both in focus and dead sharp. It took me a whole week to make my mind up which photo to use in the end.

Nice shot, though the 5 smaller drops to the right is very distracting.

I love the reflection in the drop of water. Something seems out of focus though.

Great close-up. I just can't stay here because I don't see any thing that draws me to the picture. sorry

Cliche.

Ver nice, clean, clear drop.

i like the way the hanging drop seems to fear taking the jump.

i like that it's got towel in it, there's more stuff to look at than just water, it frames it nicely.

The drop in the back is blurry and distracting.

This is unusual. You stopped the motion well and I like the reflection off of the water droplet. A slightly different lighting to get rid of the shadows would improve the photo.

better contrast would have made this a better b&w

Hey, cool! This is a different take on the liquid shots. Black & white is good for this one.

nice shot, works well in B&W

The detail on the larger drop is amazing -- but the rest of the image is pretty mundane. Tighter crop on the water?

well done on capturing this shot - good macro and the focus is sharp ... next step is to soften the lighting and get rid of the shadows.

Nice looken drop.

I like this one.

I like the wet towel! I wish the secondary droplets on the right were a little more in focus. If a had managed to conjure up this idea on my own, I may have formed a rat-tail out of the towel and shot with vertical framing to better fill the image frame. Nice shot!

Nice B&W study.

I love it, what's it dripping from? I love the drops in the background along with the front drop starting to fall. Perfect timing.
