 The sun had just come over the horizon. I positioned myself so that the flower was between the lens and the sun.

Little postprocessing. Resize, increase contrast slightly, sharpen.

I like the building in the background, gives the photo an urban look. However wished I could have removed the worst bits of noise.

Yes, it is Contre-Jour to the extreme........and it has a central composition. I can see what you were trying to achieve, but I don't think you have really hit it here.........
