This is an original concept with the framed pictures. Love the faces the kids made! A larger version would have given allot more impact when viewed and voted. You uploaded this at 500x390 - you should have gone for the maxium allowed on the width and cropped the picture right to the frame on top and bottom. Seems to me rectangular pictures tend to score better here - the viewer doesn't have to shuttle up and down to 'see' the whole picture. This effect happens when pics over 600 or so in hight are submitted. Nice job of desaturation.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say with this treatment...

I feel like I should be grading the photos IN the photo rather than the photo itself, so I will try hard not to do that. The photo OF the photos is ok. Focus seems ok, lighting seems ok, other than the small shadow behind the upper left of the picture frame. The desat is nice. I like the purple amid the black and white. All that being said...cute photos! :) ~Heather~

Photos of other photos, is this allowed?

Artwork. Literal photographic representations of the entirety of existing works of art (including your own) are not considered acceptable submissions, however creative depictions or interpretations of "art" are permissible. This includes, but is not limited to: paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, computer artwork, computer monitors, and televisions.

hmm .. nice effort. might have made more sense to have the kids faces in color since they are what's important? instead of wjhat looks like a random flower abstract in the lower corner?

Good idea but it is difficult to see what the unsaturated image is.
