Greetings from the Critique Club.

First impressions are that this is a picture of a flower which is opposite of what the challenge asked for.

Technically this seems to be soft with no area in sharpness. This may be on purpose to give the "through the window" look you were going for? Other than that it's not bad technically, composition is good with great lines to guide us from flower to flower. Exposure is good with the bright areas just being held back from being overly bright.

Artistically this is very good. Nicely processed to give a "dreamy" feel and the use of the softness heightens this.

In summary this is a nice shot that would have scored quite well if it hadn't been totally against what the challenge wanted :(

Feel free to PM me if you have any queries.
Gerry

It doesn't effect my vote, but are those flowers real? More just curious. I like the sepia.
ETA: Taking a look at this again, I also like the background chains or whatever they are. They draw the viewer through things nicely.

Are you going for the brown? [In case no one else mentioned it! :) ]

Flowers. Awkward composition. Confusing background.

Nice diagonal compostion and great use of DOF.

If I see this correctly, these aren't real flowers. Now, the challenge states, no flowers. Would think that this will not be considered as a flower? Don't know...

This is probably getting dinged because the flowers are the main focus, however, I guess one could stretch it and say the sun is because they are actually looking at the sun:-) Either way, I think it is an absolutely beautiful capture and worth a bump up.

It's so difficult to vote on this because of the specific instructions given in the challenge details. If I was the client and you presented me with this photo given the scope of work for this photo shoot as detailed, I would not pay for the work and I probably wouldn't call again for future work.

I love the background and the yellow moody color use but I wish the right flower wasn't cropped out and I have to knock you for the subject matter being flowers. 4

Love this image. Unfortunately a flower is the main focus :-(

Rules stated no flowers.

Main subject may not be a flower - 4/10
Still a very good photo that you should be proud of. Would have scored it a 7/10 if it did not transgress the rules.
