Thank you to everyone who commented on this photo. It was my second photo contributed to the site and I am very happy with the voting results. I was limited shooting this photo considering the kids (mine) didn't want to spend the day watching me take photos, and they wern't going to ride this one for all of the PEZ dispensers in the world!! Thanks again for your comments, I love dpchallenge!!!

I wanted to go to Great America! :)
04/21/2002 10:45:00 AM
Great idea here, I would like to see the first car slightly farther down the track though.
04/20/2002 02:11:00 PM
Awesome ! "How DO they do that?" Now, this picture definitely shows "stop action", because you KNOW that this was really "moving out"!
Very crisp image, but makes me dizzy to look at it!
04/20/2002 08:24:00 AM
It has every thing but the screams!!!
04/19/2002 06:36:00 PM
That's a nice image. I'm not sure if I like the angle. I guess its a bit limiting if you are in a theme park. Profile view might have been more dramatic though.
04/19/2002 07:24:00 AM
now that's a rare shot! legs hanging upwards in the air. great find.
04/18/2002 05:11:00 PM
The right side of the train seems to have a lot of shadow. Beautiful blue colored sky.
04/18/2002 01:10:00 PM
Good composition, good stop motion. Maybe a little dark. Nice shot.
04/18/2002 11:23:00 AM
Great colors and composition. It's a shame there wasn't better light on the two folks up front.
04/17/2002 11:23:00 PM
very good, i give it a 9
04/17/2002 05:25:00 PM
Love the timing, but the overly bright track means that there is little detail on the riders.
04/17/2002 03:36:00 PM
Nice colors!
04/17/2002 10:43:00 AM
i feel sooo sorry for those poor suckers : ) . .

04/16/2002 08:06:00 PM
This is one of my favourites in this challenge.
04/16/2002 06:07:00 PM
The people aren't in focous and you cant see their faces, I would have waited for better sunlight at that angle or picked a different angle.
04/16/2002 03:31:00 PM
Awesome colors. Awesome shot framing and shot selection. Awesome zoom. Awesome photo? :D
04/16/2002 02:57:00 PM
very cool, glad it's not me!
04/16/2002 12:56:00 PM
Very good picture. I like the way the rail leads to stopped motion at the top.
04/16/2002 09:40:00 AM
Great shot, one of my top 10. Contrast, exposure, color and subject. Just needs a little more detail on the front riders to get into top 5.
04/16/2002 07:54:00 AM
Very sharp and very well done. I feel like i'm almost there! I feel .....
i thunk i'm gonna be RAAAAAALPHRMMHPH ... sick :)
04/16/2002 05:59:00 AM
Wish I had one of these in my backyard. Nice, clear shot. Good contrasting color against the blue sky.
04/15/2002 10:18:00 PM
Thanks for reminding me why I don't ride these things!
04/15/2002 10:16:00 PM
Polarizing lens?
04/15/2002 07:40:00 PM
Good, clear shot. Scary!
04/15/2002 05:59:00 PM
Beautiful shot. Cropped just right. Really catches the spirit of motion. Wish the focus was sharper. Top contender nonetheless.
04/15/2002 05:39:00 PM
Cool shot
04/15/2002 04:55:00 PM
I love it (and rollercoasters). Very nice. I wish it was taken from the other side, but that is such a nit pick in this case.
04/15/2002 03:00:00 PM
Incredible color in the sky, just love that.
04/15/2002 02:28:00 PM
Cool. Weren't you smart to be on the ground?
04/15/2002 01:22:00 PM
Cool shot. Contrast between the track and the deep blue sky really adds to the picture.
04/15/2002 12:29:00 PM
This is a really nice shot. I would have loved to seen the coaster on its way down in the front of the photo. I really like the contrast here as well The crop at the top of the photo is pretty close, but this is nice work :)
04/15/2002 12:16:00 PM
Just a split second sooner (Or later, depending on the direction) to see more of the car would've perfected this, it's still a great shot otherwise.
04/15/2002 11:28:00 AM
Oh how I wish we had an amusement park around here to capture these types of photos. I think you did a great job on this submission.
04/15/2002 11:26:00 AM
Scarey! Nice photo.
04/15/2002 09:48:00 AM
Nice! Good framing, great shot.
04/15/2002 09:20:00 AM
Nice composition, good action, and fullfillment of the criteria. Could be improved with a little dodging and burning (tone down the yellow, brighten the faces). Too bad the rules keep us from performing such fundamental finishing.
04/15/2002 09:14:00 AM
Aahh those things scare me. Great color and a great shot though.
04/15/2002 08:55:00 AM
ugh stop and let me off ! This is REAL action! NICE !!!!! It would have been awesome to catch them on this front side and the top but this works for me !
04/15/2002 05:26:00 AM
better them than me.
