Greetings from the Critique Club!
I love to see Lensbaby shots, they are so cool. Very nice surreal feel to the shot with the blur and soft light. I was disappointed to see this finish so low, especially in a Fine Art challenge. I think this image has plenty of artisitic merit...however, it does lack the dpc-friendly hit of saturation that voters love.
Lighting is soft and natural, the dof especially coming in from the left is very effective in bringing that daisy forward. I do agree that a tighter crop on the right may have helped strengthen composition. The lit diagonal area adds a sense of place.
Overall an unconventional shot, but I like to see the boundaries being pushed. Keep up the good work and oob thinking!
Feel free to PM me with any questions,
Susan |

Beautifully done. You've captured the fragility of life. |

4 - Title is a little cliche for me, a more refined crop, especially upper right make this better in my opinion. |

Man, I missed some real gems the first run through. I didn't give my original vote on this much thought but seeing it again I really like it. Even though it is a photo of a flower, which DPC has many of in most challenges, I feel as though the way you composed this with the colors and blur and all really fits the theme of this challenge well. Bumping your score upward, good luck. |

Beautiful image, I'll ignore the title! Too long for me! ;) Really love the soft flow of muted colors. |

Hmmm. Not sure I can see where this is going. Perhaps a slightly tighter crop would demonstrate the dying section on the right hand daisy? |

Such a lame title for a poetic work, I'll vote the photo..:) |

I like the light to dark progression and the shallow DOF. Rather dreamy effect, but the one focussed leaf looks blackened and dying. So maybe not a good dream. But not hopeless, since the flower on the left looks younger, like it still has a full bloom to look forward to, and to share with us. |

maybe a little less top and bottom on this picture...not much and not that it makes that much of a difference, might have added a little motion blur too |

I like this gentle picture, where the daisies look like they look in real life. Even the colours look very much like a warm evening. Nicely done. |
