A nice candid capture but the lighting and the focus seems a bit off. I would have liked to seen one of the others. A backlight to define her hair from the backdrop would help a great deal. A 4

Lighting: The face is well lit, but the overhead lighting begs for a reflector below to soften the harsh shadows under her chin and jaw.
Pose: The over all pose is fine, but the viewpoint is a bit too high. Also, having her eyes closed (or looking at something below) is not as expressive as it could have been.
Background: The black background was well done, but I would like more separation around the har.

In this portrait, the viewer should see more of her eyes. They would have been a good focal point.

Nice candid looking shot with very subtle yet adequate lighting. The only thing I think would improve it greatly would be to see her beautiful eyes!

Some of the best shots are when they're not posing. Still, to make it more like a formal portrait I'd probably try cropping in a bit tighter.

If she were looking up at the camera or off into the distance, this would work so much better. Her pose, hair color, and the soft lighting are all in place to make a good portrait, but her downward glance just does it in. :o)

very nice shot, lighting is right, the very mildly soft focus works well, but I wish I could see her eyes better, and that it had a lighter background to get more definition to the outline of her head/hair; relaxing between shots departs a bit from the "formal studio portrait" mentioned in the details; a little cloneing to reduce, but not eliminate, the reflection on her lower lip and, to an even lesser extent, her nose, would be an improvement

Model = exceptional
Pose = none
Relaxing = not
She seems like she is ready to say "that's enough!" instead of what your title suggests.

I think this is a nice portrait, however the lighting seems a blit too dark. His head fades into the background.

Slightly out of focus, harsh lighting.

more of a snapshot than a studio portrait

Photo is more of a candid photo than a studio photo.

Looks like she's blinking ... I wonder why you didn't submit one with her eyes open?

Like the way the light is "moody." Like to see the eyes up with the same expression on her face. A touch more light on the bottom part of her face would even out the cheeks also.

Maybe it would be better to post one of the shots

I like the idea to take an in between shot, so it's not so posed, but this one is maybe a bit too relaxed. I would like to see her eyes more.

Ooops! looks like one of those "ooops" shots that celebrities hate when someone snaps their pic as they fall out of a nightclub...If this was you intention...well done...if not..........I think you may have chosen the wrong shot from your session for this challenge. If you and your model like it then what the hell...well done.

Better to see her eyes and less or more of the upper body.

She looks like a reluctant subject which renders the shot a bit less effective. It's also an unflattering angle doesn't help. Had she opned her eyes and looked at the camera she would have looked mischievous or flirty.

Lighting is flat which makes it look like camera flash, whereas directional lighting would create more mood and bring form to clothing and hair.

Her expression looks more like smirking than relaxing. Her eyes have that half-shut, snapshot look. Because of this angle, there is more emphasis being placed on the top of her head, her shiny lower lip, and her cleavage than her face.
