| I didn't make it back in to comment before voting ended. Colors were stunning, and the light breaking through the clouds really made the overall image for me. Great shot. |

This image stopped me in my tracks during voting. Glad to see it take the blue.
[ edit ] On a side note, I get really disappointed when people don't allow themselves to enjoy an image because they are too busy searching for technical flaws or violation of compositional conventions. I honestly didn't even notice the blown out clouds until I read your description and struggle even now to figure out how they diminish the visual impact of this image. I do not typically think of the cabin of a commercial airliner as an enviable photographic destination!

| I really liked the bottom half of this, but if I were voting I would have voted it quite a bit lower than I would want to due to the sky being so blown out. I figured it would place decent, but never would have guessed a blue ribbon. Voters were very forgiving on this. Very, very forgiving... |

| That's awesome. Don't you love looking out of the window as you descend and take off? Even though the highlights are blown out, this has a perfect division of horizontal thirds. The cloud pink gray section, the blue (I like how the horizon cuts the image in half which is another way of looking at it) and the lower green part. They gradate into one another so beautifully. Nicely done. |

| Most airplane out the window shots all just end up looking the same. But Wow, I really like this one. Great light, a bit blown out at the sun but for me that isn't a problem considering the shot. |

| This is a pretty cool shot. Probably going to get alot of comments about the sky being too blown out in the center though. I have taken alot of shots from Airplane windows, In fact I will be doing it tomorrow morning so I know that it is not easy to get a nice shot especially when those windows are usually quite dirty. i am not voting on this challenge but if I were I would give this a 7 |
