2 litres of milk and a few hours of trial and error. I had a great time making this one, and I learned a great deal.

Iwish it were framed a bit lower, the drip is a bit cramped so close to the top. I do like the nice gradient of color from top to bottom, though!

So strange its cool!!!
04/21/2002 07:51:00 PM
a bit off centered
04/21/2002 05:26:00 PM
good, but definately crop horizontally, rather than vertically, and take off the bottom.
04/21/2002 07:15:00 AM
Too much foreground. Great shadows/ripples towards the top.
04/20/2002 07:28:00 PM
Why did you choice to expose the bottom of this picture white? Wouldn't it have been better had we see some of the ripples in this part of the picture?
04/20/2002 12:11:00 PM
great lighting
04/20/2002 09:28:00 AM
You got milk? The stopped motion is there just as it was a hundred years ago. Don't get me wrong but the subject matter has to be somewhat new to be a true winner.
04/20/2002 04:32:00 AM
Good, good photo. Should have cropped the bottom, would have been even better.
04/19/2002 01:56:00 PM
You should put the drop at the bottom of the picture. The liquid thing is a bit overdone though.
04/19/2002 12:02:00 PM
Loucious, comfortable feel, makes my mouth water, but not a lot of uniform in the drop.
04/19/2002 07:29:00 AM
i would've cropped it to leave out all the white below. but overall nice ripples.
04/18/2002 05:07:00 PM
I like the originality of the milk not water.
04/18/2002 03:11:00 PM
different
04/18/2002 12:46:00 PM
The bright white in the front, kind of takes the attention away from the milkdrops.
04/18/2002 07:55:00 AM
I like this! The drops look like pearls. I would've cropped it somewhat off the bottom.
04/18/2002 06:23:00 AM
Great 'stopped motion' would like to have seen more action in this pool of milk but I like this alot.
04/17/2002 05:27:00 PM
Kudos for getting this just right - my attempts with milk were no where near as good as this one.
04/17/2002 01:19:00 PM
This almost looks like porcelein. A little too bright at the bottom.
04/17/2002 10:57:00 AM
what is the scale here? i.e. how much milk did you waste? : ) more original than water, but tough to expose as is evidenced by the washed out foreground.
04/17/2002 05:23:00 AM
A bit over-exposed. The splash/ripple doesn't seem like it offers much.
04/16/2002 05:49:00 PM
Great variation on the liquid idea - the milk delievers a really wonderful color and this photo also has great detail.
04/16/2002 05:31:00 PM
AT least someone did milk instead of water, if people give you crap about the blurred bottom don't buy it, its an awesome picture.
04/16/2002 01:38:00 PM
could use some cropping on the bottom
04/16/2002 12:59:00 PM
Got milk? Looks good, now we just need some cookies.
04/16/2002 11:31:00 AM
good action but needs better composition to be compelling image
04/16/2002 09:51:00 AM
I think this should have been cropped such that the bottom is gone. The top of the picture has such fine detail, that the bottom ends up disappointing me.
04/15/2002 06:22:00 PM
Excellent!
04/15/2002 06:08:00 PM
The big drop that hit looks like a mushroom. Did you try it without the flash? Or maybe another color of light? Anyway I like it.
04/15/2002 04:11:00 PM
well stopped and good focus but better cropping woild have helped.
04/15/2002 02:44:00 PM
Visually Interesting. Like the color transition.
04/15/2002 02:19:00 PM
foreground is overexposed
04/15/2002 02:17:00 PM
This might have worked for transition as well due to the coloring. Good job.
04/15/2002 02:16:00 PM
This is another very nice interpretation of stopped motion. The flash on your camera has washed out a lot of contrast, especially in the bottom of the frame. The contrast at the top is much better... Maybe a re-crop of this image would allow you to exclude the washed out area at the bottom of the frame. A lower camera angle may also allow the flash to be reflected away from the lens.
04/15/2002 01:54:00 PM
I like the interesting assymetric shapes in the center.
04/15/2002 01:17:00 PM
Great angle.
04/15/2002 01:12:00 PM
AHHHH...something besides water drops.
04/15/2002 01:10:00 PM
Cool shot! Even shows the droplet shadows.
04/15/2002 12:00:00 PM
Yes... Yes it is.
04/15/2002 11:37:00 AM
Good stop motion and good color transition.
04/15/2002 11:36:00 AM
....but with milk!
04/15/2002 10:09:00 AM
This looks really cool, it's just too bad you didn't get in closer.
04/15/2002 10:05:00 AM
Well, it's not water, like 98% of the other stopped motion liquid photos... but it's not original either.... sorry.
04/15/2002 09:45:00 AM
Nice capture:) I love the shape in the center:)
04/15/2002 06:59:00 AM
Met the challenge, but the composition lets it down - too much white space! The bottom half is very over exposed too - good attempt at a difficult subject
