Excellent shot with great DOF - and very intriguing as a thumbnail. Good to see old tyres being so useful too.

Critique Club Assignment

This shot is all about perspective, patterns, color and texture. It does all four very well.
The tires lead your eye to the end and then back again.

Technically this shot scores an A+ from me. The focus and exposure are just as they should be.
It's hard to critique something that you like and that's flawless.
This shot is perfect for the photojournalism challenge.

This is interesting! Great content and nice colours.
I'd either like to see more of the "path" coming to the front - the two rows of tires with mostly water between - or crop close in on the lower part of the shot as a landscape orientation. Current composition keeps leading my eye out of the frame.

I like the use of the curves in this picture. Also the repetition of the tires really works too. Great job. Is there really a recycle magazine. If so, you should send them this pic.

I like the title telling me it's a magazine. The depth is really good with everything still in focus. Good job there. Looks like the row goes on and on. Really good photo, technically sound. PTL8

Good depth of field. A little more wide angle ( I know, hard to do without a DSLR) would have carried even more weight by showing even more tires. 7 nards656

Great shot! I love the concept and I really like the compsition you chose here. I love the way the tire lines lead my eye right out into the horizon... very nice work! BTW- please help support this site by commenting on photos. The photographers really appreciate it! if you already comment on photos, comment on some extra ones :) - setzler

Good exposure in what looks like tough lighting. I'm not sure about the composition. Did you try other possibilities with more water? If you are going to do it this way, I would try a shallow dof because the back tires aren't really necessary or attractive. It's still better than most in this challenge. A strong image as is. ~indigo997

IMO the relationship between the title and picture are key elements in this challenge. Must be a cover shot, with the by line inside. Good job, but I like the ones in the background the best, with the gulls.
