I actually find the houses more interesting than the back end of the boat. ;=) Maybe you should have found another skiff or two. |

I believe that we have seen this boat and dock before. This may have gotten dinged because there is too much in the shot besides the boat.
It's a very peaceful looking scene, maybe processed a little too strongly, making the trees look sort of "blocky" .
For me, that's fine, for voters, maybe not. I like the photo, it tells me a story that I like to hear. |

Interesting effect... Is the boat masked? I will need to learn how to do this... |

Well at least it wasn't a foggy morning. |

Same boat, different view...I think I like the 'foggy' version better. |

I think simplify works well here and the left side of the house and the trees look very nice, but the boat does not feel like an important part of this picture. |

Lovely smooth tones, nice composition. I remember this boat featured here on DPC a while ago too albeit from a slightly different angle. Almost has a water painting type look about it. 9
Sure to feature in the top 3 imo |

Love the effect of the "filter" on the trees, very painterly. 8 |

Boy, what slick processing. Quite painterly. Topaz Simplify? Impressive. The boat looks less affected by the filter though. Can it still be considered a photograph? |
