Thanks all for the comments and votes including Inspector Grog :) The plane had just taken off (as you can see by the nose wheel bays still closing) and going like a bat out of hell. Very difficult to shoot sharply with a 500mm f/6.3 (effective 750mm on a 1.5x crop factor DX)
Here is another shot of it about 60 seconds later and traveling even faster.
Is it a toy plane indeed! You're right to question it, as in photography anything is possible... |

Makes perfect sense to me. The subject of the SAAB Gripen, and the light on it looks familiar to me, so I am guessing this is an entry from Magnum_za. Sky looks a wee touch grainy, it could have used a little noise reduction on the blues, but under basic rules, you may not have been able to do that without killing the sharp details elsewhere. |
