Almost midway through the challenge and I am amazed by the score of this shot. For those who questioned the "bridge" here, the bridge I had in mind was the idea that the lighthouse serves as a communications bridge between the land and the sea/lake(it's on Lake Michigan). I'm sure some thought the railing or the pier was my idea of the bridge. The railing is in fact the access to the lighthouse when the water is too rough to walk the pier. Anyway, many ways to see a bridge here if you like.

The story behind the shot...

My wife and I decided to travel to Michigan City, Indiana for a "wine festival" which turned out to be a five dollar waste of time. The festival was very small and tastings were at a charge of $1 a piece. So we went to our favorite winery there and enjoyed some free tastings. We then traveled to St. Joseph, Michigan to take some photos of the lighthouse there but the sun was still high and harsh so those photos weren't DPC quality. So we traveled back to Michigan City. We intended to arrive in time for the sunset but on our return trip we drove through the wine country and lost time. When we arrived at Washington Park(where the lighthouse is) we had just missed the sunset. Knowing I would need longer exposures I grabbed my tripod and we started down the walkway to the pier. I set up for several different views but this one was one of the best. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have!

Good shot but don't understand how it fits the challenge. No bridge here.

This is lovely! My only suggestion would be to crop a bit off the top.

Always love lighthouses, especially at dusk/dawn :)
Nice star bursts in the lights, nice reflection, a subtle palette on the sky, and the people for perspective. This shot's got a lot to study - my top 10.

Nice photo, but I see a lighthouse not a bridge. Maybe youre trying to convey that the rail is a bridge. I guess techincally it could be, but I am having a hard time trying to see it.

Stunning........The soft colours are brilliant, you have not pushed the colours, but left them subtle which really does work. Composition is spot on here, the leading lines are great, the timing is spot on, the combination of the background colours and the lighting...........Congratulations on a stunning image
