thanks to everyone that took the time to vote and comment.

these are javanese rice finches and they're everywhere here. 30 years ago there were none of these but some had escaped captivity and then they quickly multiplied and took over.

this feeding spot is right near my house and i'm regularly here taking shots of all the different birds that feed here.

Excellent clarity for the birds in the foreground. Lovely bokeh. Could you have put water droplets on the feeding tins?
