This shot deserves a fitting background. Also some natural lighting would be fitting. The lighting on the right side of his face, his left cheek and the camera is disturbing. Other than that it's a lovely shot and i would love to hear some stories from grandpa and how he got his best shots.

It's a lovely shot! I have to admit I didn't score it as high as it deserved (don't remember what I was thinking :), but I'm glad it made such a high score and a ribbon. Congratulations!

Nice Norman Rockwell feel here, the highlights on the shirt are a bit blown which is unfortunate, but the subject and feel make up for it. Ought to ribbon.

Lovely relationship between the camera and grandpa, but the image feels a little sterile to me. The stark white background is a bit harsh for the moment, and the subjects lack a bit of contrast. But it's pretty sharp :-)
