I had worried this might be seen as DNMC, but it's doing quite nicely, holding steady in the 6.75 range, which might be ribbon territory the way scores are going lately.

Obviously, I've shot this same, exact scene several times over the years, including my 3rd highest-scoring image thus far. But I'm especially pleased with this version, which seems altogether much better-controlled to me, especially considering this is basic editing with no spot editing. The 5D is wonderful in its tonal range under extreme lighting conditions.

Note to add: all settings in HDR Efex Pro were global, none of the selective/local controls were used.

This picture is beautiful. The lighting is perfect in this photo, no doubt about it. Also, I like the fact that you can see the glistening water wrippling and the plants around the water blowing. This photo makes you feel like you are actually standing right there watching the sun, feeling the wind, enjoying nature, and feeling free.
