Yup. It's an outtake from the birds in flight challenge. But actually I liked this better than the one I entered. However, it needed advanced editing to clone out a small part of a seagull in the background. Since there's a 1.4 difference between what this is receiving and what the other shot received, I guess I'm lucky this needed advanced editing! :)

What called to me about this shot, was it's depth, and the angle. It's not often you have a bird's eye view of a bird.

Oh, and even though it was an outtake, I don't think anyone expected me to enter something different, anyway. :)

Very dramatic tones. The border is a little tight to the bird. Maybe that was the only option that you had.

...in the moment that you touch perfect speed. Very nice shot. I'm not a massive fan of burnt in edges, it kind of loses the impression of speed.

Awesome BIF shot with perfect elements of sharpness, stop motion and composition. Perhaps a bit hot on the scapular. Great detail in the primaries. 9.
