Nope. They were from some pre-dawn surfers. It was cold, so the kids were huddled under blankets. |

One of my two 10's. I honestly thought this would make the front page. Too bad you couldn't get Kona to sit still on the beach for thus shot. Lol! |

The blurred foam is like a visual hush. Splendid image, Ben. |

Looks like a bspurgeon joint. Crazy leading lines -- very appealing. That little notch of dry land against the horizon at the right is curious and cool. |

Another beauty. Tones are wonderful, and a very nice triangle theme here. |

Beautiful image with a beautiful meaning to it. Black and white was a perfect choice.
Obvious tripod use: Medium-high. To me, studying the image makes it obvious that a tripod was used. But I put medium high because the tones of this image make the foreground stick out, and the background fade away. The background is the area of obvious tripod use, so if someone is looking quickly, it may not be obvious to them. |

Obvious use of a tripod, or any other long-term stabilization tool (1-10 *is not the score of the shot though*): 10
Just perfect. I love the non-existence of the waves and the sharply outlined footsteps. |

Interesting picture, but I don't see how the "obvious" use of a tripod is depicted. |
