Thanks for the wonderful 6+ score and the comments, they are always very much appreciated.

For ti_evom:
Capturing a moving droplet actually "sitting" on the surface of the water for a fraction of a second before it disappears into the water below is immensely difficult to get even when using a tripod.
If you manage to get a shot like this with the camera handheld, I'd love to see it.

Oh, "you're" the one who got this magnificent shot. I might have known.
It is just lovely, Irene, and yes, of course technically incredibly difficult.
That's the kind you tackle.

I hope your health issues are behind you?

In any case, it's good to see your images on DPC whenever you care to contend.

I liked it. Surely can't be done without tripod.

No doubt, with a tripod. Love how timely you got the drop just touching the surface. The color variety is just a great and completes the image nicely.

Obvious use of a tripod, or any other long-term stabilization tool (1-10 *is not the score of the shot though*): 5
Although a tripod was likely used, doing this shot handheld with a couple of strong light sources could have been done as well.

What amazing timing for this shot. So different than your standard droplet shot.

Obvious tripod use: Very high.

Wow. Just when I think there can't be another drop shot that's something new... BAM! Here it is... and a gorgeous one. 10

Water drops may be done a lot on here but those colors, clarity and timing are superb. 9

A rather cliched shot, but no doubting that's it's a well done cliche that will score highly.
