I don't know why people are always grousing over animal shots...

Upon a second look, upgrade to a 7. JEM

You are a bird obsessed freak! Spiders are the thing!

Oh, and welcome to the world of colour aberation and grainyness, common to cheap digicams bolted to the back of spotter scopes. Needs a bit cropped off the top. Pose of bird is good, perhaps leans to the right a bit too much.

Lovely image. I am trying to identify this bird. It looks like a game bird. My first thought is a Ptarmigan??? Beautiful markings, and a cute tuft, well captured. Nice catchlight in the eye too. I'm still trying to id this one. Whip Poor Will? Chuck Will's Widow? Night Hawk?

Really nice photo - i like the composition, focus.

Nice shot of the bird. I try to do a lot of wildlife photography so can appreciate the difficulty of the photo. I would recommend a .jpg artifact removal program such as Neat Image. It's legal and would have helped the visual quality of this photo. From a wildlife lover, Kandyj

Stunning. Do you have a lot of shots of birds?? I need some as reference for my artwork, and I've never been able to get a beautiful shot like this.

Nice closeup of a great bird. I would have liked a little less light..Cub

The bird is beautiful, but just a little out of focus on his head and at his feet. The background need either to be OUT of focus or in focus, right behind his back. Better focus would have made it a 10, but as it is, it's a 7. PTL

Focus is a tiny bit soft for me, but this is a wonderful shot.
