It's an onion, not a lemon in camouflage :)

The ingredients (4 persons):

2 limes or lemons (peel and juice)
125 g sugar
1 onion, chopped
2 Chili peppers, chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped
100 ml water
4 turkey breast fillets (200 g each)
salt
pepper
wild rice
basil

The recipe:

cook lemon peel, lemon juice, sugar, onion, chili pepper, garlic and water softly for 15 minutes

fry salted and peppered fillets in pan, 5 minutes each side

boil rice

stack rice, turkey and sauce on plate, garnish with basil leaves

Bon apetit!

Rather unexpected (I hate me for putting that onion there), thanks for your votes and comments!

I love the bright colors and the depth of focus. The fork is sort of a leading line to the lemon in the background. The only distraction for me is the dark thing on the upper left. Still a great shot and it looks yummy!

Recipe please! Nice and sharp. I like that. And great contrast with the green mat.

Looks yummy!! Well photographed. The lighting on the rice is perfect. But the trade off I think is that the yellow topping (lemon I assume) is a little to harshly lit. Maybe some directed diffusion would have helped with that. Very nicely done though.

The food looks exquisite. I think it is sharp and has great color which is an effect of the wonderful even lighting. What I see as kind of a drawback is the blurred background at the top of the image. My eye keeps wandering off the subject to the background to wonder about that lemon masquerading as an onion up there. When I scroll down and lose the background my eye comfortably rests on the subject in admiration. However bring the blurred background up again and I just can't help but look there.

looks tasty, and the bamboo place-mat helps with the organic/all natural feel.

Dressing up turkey in new and exciting ways for the taste buds. Great presentation - angle, color, and details are fabulous. Textures are also very appetizing in this culinary arrangement - from the colors & shape of the bed of rice to the yellow & red lemon and chili sauce topping on the turkey.

YUM!!! I like the tilt and the way the basil sprig ties in to the place mat's color.

Betcha that would go great with a nice glass of Ohio wine. ;) Bumping up.
