Richard, this is one of the prettiest set ups I can remember. I do like it very, very much. I'm one of your 13 7s. If this were most any other challenge, I think I would have gone 9 or maybe even 10. |

Nice picture, seems off topic to me, unless that isn't food coloring (humane made food coloring). Jacko 6 |

challenge not met ... in my opinion (and i know that that's likely not the same as yours, as you obviously think your photo matches the challenge, but i have to vote according to my own interpretation, sorry. that out of the way, i did want to give you my comments on your photo anyway, because i think it is a really nice shot. i've tried things with food coloring but haven't had such nice results. i think you managed to get them just streaky and mixed enough without them all getting mixed into one. you can see all sorts of shapes and figures in it when you look at it long enough :) the black frame works well (so does the title for that matter), but i think i would make the frame a little thinner. was there any way of making the background more evenly white? it's great on the right, not quite as good on the left (this is nitpicky, btw). anyway. i like the shot :) |

This is really nice, but I think the thick black border is a bit overbearing. Perhaps a bit more white space around the ink swirls would help to increase their impact as well. Good idea though, I love all the colour and turbulance. |

aahhhhhh I am torn .. I like the picture a lot ... but I keep seeing somebody mixing the colors in water or something to get that .. I cannot get the 'man' our of it in my head ... So I am giving it a 7 but would probably have give it momre in an other challenge. Very nice 'art' painting/photography. Lionel |

Very good concept shot. I think this image may get misunderstood. I like it very much.
I'm back to bump you up to 9. One of my two 9's...the highest I've rated for this challenge. |

Pretty cool shot. I'm not really seeing how this has no human intervention though. I know this doesn't occur naturally. It is still very nice, and the color is great. Focus and clarity are perfect. It is a very nice abstract indeed, but I don't think it fits the challenge well. Good luck in the challenge. |

On one hand, it's a unique image -- quite unique and abstract. A part of me, though, says that ink is a byproduct of man, though. Anal-retentively yours, asf :) |

A really beautiful shot. I will look forward to how you did it. I'm not sure how well it meets the challenge though. DPz |

I love this image, but I'm having a difficult time convincing myself that it meets the challenge. Great idea and beautiful colors. |

Beautiful color and great abstract. When I imagine this framed, I see it with a slim inner almost-white matte and a wider cream outer matte...makes me wonder if this wouldn't look better without the big black border. |

Excellent image, top marks. I just love the colours you have used and how they mix together to create a wonderful abstract image. I would like to know how you achieved this! Perhaps a tutorial might be the go. Great work. Well achieved. |

Excellent photo. I think I'm a little more liberal minded then some and you'll prolly get a lot of, "how does this fit the challenge?" but I think it fits well. Just as G-d created nature, he also had to put in color, and I think it's an excellent interpretation of the challenge! Nice job! The only thing I would say is that it doesn't look like a photo, more like a piece of art, so I'm hoping it is your art. Great composition, I love how it comes out of the upper left corner. Love the white space, and overall I think this is a beautiful piece of sork. I'm taking a point off for it being more a photo of art then a photo that is art. But still a solid 9 in my eyes! Great job! Good luck. |

While I really like the color and motion of this shot, I am having a hard time believing this "just occurred" like this. You created a brilliant image, with your human hands. If this met the challenge, it would be an easy 9 or 10, but the challenge comes first. Sorry, but 6. Swash (If this really occurred "naturally", I will consider changing your score.) Oh, it's too pretty for 6, O.K. 7, but that's it. |
