Greetings from the Critique Club!

And...Congratulations on a top ten finish with this wonderful shot.

Technically this is a wonderful exposure! Dof is excellent with all points of the picture from foreground to horizon being sharp and clear...important in emphasising the "Vanishing Point".

Your exposure settings have combined to show good detail within the "corridor" of the trees. Looking outside this corridor beyond the trees the light becomes dominant as detail gives way to it. This creates a feeling of a secure, intimate place where the couple are walking with one another. It again further accentuates the concept of the vanishing point as it strengthens the feeling of the converging lines.
Most pictures submitted depicted two converging lines. This capture shows the lines of the edges of the pathway, the line of tree trunks and the tree canopy all running parallel to each other. A very strong depiction of the challenge topic.
Colour is rich and your choice of changing the hue have made it a warm picture to look at although the a purple hue appears on the arms of your pedestrians...but not distractingly noticeable. Perhaps a little desat would work, but this is a matter of personal choice as the comments left by appreciative viewers indicate.
Asthetically speaking....a nice warm picture to look at that draws the viewer into a walk along a path with this couple. The eye follows naturally from the foreground to the horizon.
You have much to be proud of with this image.
Again, congratulations on a beautiful picture and thankyou for sharing it with us.
Kindest Regards,
Randy Drumm

I like the path going off to the distance and the way the trees force the viewer to follow it. The figures give the photo some scale. Those very red leaves at the side look unnatural. I assume from the validatin that they are really that color, but they do detract from the overall effect.

It's ok, though not really that great. Don't really like pictures with people in them. Don't really like the color red either.

Beautiful shot, excellent use of colour. The figures are well placed to add to the interest of the shot without taking over.

Rainy days make a photo shine. :)
I like these kind of compositions, the people make it work.

A beautiful, well composed shot. I was suspicious of the (apparent) fallen leaves on the ground, but the gods tell us your photo is validated. Beautifully done, I love the composition and crop. I like the touch of the couple walking too, though I think it would have worked with the isolated, lonely feel too. Very well done photo.

A beautiful scene -- I can almost smell the air! I'll be shocked if this doesn't make the top 10, at least.

Good photo, it will score high. I would have liked to see the people further away, near to the vanishing point. Maybe if you would crop off some of the trees at the top, maybe half of it, it would improve the photo. Good job.

great color and contrast. a 9.

Very pleasing image with good composition using the figures to lead the eye to the vanishing point..looks very "Autumnul"?

i love the colours and the feeling behind this image...quite sentimental. i do think u could have toned down the clours a bit more. would have been great if u showed the lines meeting. still, quite a captivating image. 8

Very nice. This is a perfect interpretation of the challenge with your subject going into the vanishing point. Colors are wonderful too. Hope you land in the top.
