I love the colours in this, and the gnarled, silhouetted shape of the tree. The central composition works here. It may be a little bit underexposed, but nonetheless a nice photo. |

This would've been a good candidate for B&W. - Inspzil |

Not bad, but lacks a bit of "zing" for me. Then again, my own shot doesn't "zing" me either, so who am I to talk? |

What a great tree! I love the silouette against the light sky. I would have liked to top of the tree though. Another thing I really like is the small remnant of Fall colors. You have a great eye, IMHO. |

This was a bad challenge to have in the wintertime. Naked trees aren't the most exciting things in the world. (hey, I submitted one too) This definately goes with the challenge, and the angle and framig/cropping are good. The focus seems good on the tree. Kind of a dreary day for pics, but lighting is still ok. Good luck in the challenge. |

Nice fall colors. Great choice of trees, very stoic, yet almost brutal. 8 Swash |

challenge met. the square format works well, and i like that you managed to find a location where you are able to show the whole tree, and not just its top w/out the "hand of man" intruding. i also like that the tree is almost a sillhouette, but there is still some detail visible. centering it worked well for this photo. just a nitpick, i would like to see the top of the tree, it looks like there's not that much more missing. overall, due to the weather (which is outside of your control, i know), the photo is just a little lacklustre in the color department. but, still a decent entry. :) |

I love how the top looks almost like a b&w then you get the burst of orange/red at the bottom. 6 |

Like the color at the bottom very much. Not crazy for the light, little dark and the focus is too soft for me. Also the tree is dead center, still this color is very good and I like that very much. |

The tree looks a little big out of focus. Not bad. |

The tree is a little too dark, I think. Also, I think it would look nicer if the top of the branch wasnt cut off. |
