 Another shot taken while out for a ride, however this time I took the mountain bike, which has a nice padded rack trunk for safely toting my 50D. The bike gets me to places where the car can't go and are too distant to walk. The cycling and photography seem to be working well together.

I tried some of the vertical blur that I've seen others like Skewsme do so well, and got similar results. I liked the others, but this one in particular stood out to me. It's actually a small wooded area next to a golf course, but the vertical blur makes it look to me like the trees are in a swamp instead.

Blur shots are always risky, but everyone on my WPL team had this as one of their picks from the unedited shots I showed them. On top of that, it's my own fave as well. I hope that is a good sign, but I still think its a risky entry that is likely to either do very well or tank.

The foliage is not what I notice first but all that glowing green adds atmosphere. Wonderful image to explore.
