Detail from a large piece of coagulated blood and regenerating dermal tissue (scab) left over from an old softball wound...
I'm hoping it's not immediately recognizable, as it's kind of gross unless viewed with scientfic interest or as an abstract. To make it more abstract (and maybe look like a stained micropscopic specimen) I ended up largely inverting the colors.

Why the blue saturation? looses all organic feeling shown this way.

I really like this. The colours and textures are gorgeous. I'm guess it's just skin under a microscope, or maybe a scab? Whatever it is, I get the same kind of feeling from it as a Jackson Pollock painting.

Doesn't look real this color. Should have left natural color. Beautiful texture though. PTL

is this a photo micrograph of clotting blood or something?

I can't make out what this is supposed to be, from the title I would say a scab but it doesn't look like that to me, sorry. - togtog

Is this skin under a microscope?

I'm really not sure what you were going for here... I'm guessing you got quite a few of these as comments. Judging by the title, the best I can guess is that this is a picture of a scab, but I highly doubt it. Sorry, but seeing as how I can't tell what I'm looking at. It's not a very pleasing view, there is no point of focus, and the corners are fairly blurry I have to give this a low rating. Email me if you want and let me know what this is. Thanks!

I'm assuming this is an extremely close up shot of some part of the body... The shot itself looks like some sort of abstract. I like the color of the shot, the blue tones are nice. From an abstract view point this shot is really nice, I like it. From the view of the challenge, it's not the greatest.
