 Glad I went on the day I did. walked into the monument with a wedding shoot taking place which was just what I needed. Frantically rushed to the top and tried many angles as it's difficult to get the comp right when
a) It's not your model to direct
b) You have left all lenses in the bag in the rush and could not zoom in closer than what the 17-40 allowed for...For this reason had to crop it a bit
c) It's a monument and peole keep walking into the frame where you dont need them.. They should know better :)
d) This Photographer (shooting the wedding) Does not organise his equipment and everything lies scattered on the floor.. Take note wedding photographers :)
I have to hand it to him that he did read my mind when I pleaded within myself that they please open up the dress into a nice circle. This did not take long to happen

Needless to say I missed this challenge and after looking at your recent Blue, realised where this was :) Great angle. Only a photographer who takes his craft seriously has this type of dedication. patience. Others just snap and walk away.

Rian, baie geluk met die long shot wenners. Jy gaan nog die annale herskryf. Ek weet Stephen is ook 'n spanmaat maar weet nie wie die ander is nie. Baie geluk ook aan hulle. Maak my moederhart so trots!

Daar is soveel Suid Afrikaners hier maar ek was seker dit is joune bloot omdat dit naby jou is en net jy daaraan sal dink om van daardie angle af 'n foto te neem en te kan neem. Voel dit moes beter gedoen het maar nou ja. Dankie vir my comment. En ja, Clarens gaan nerens heen nie!

South Africa? Very interesting subject and composition. Being the image this good, I would have loved to see a bit more details on her dress, but it really is a small thing. Well done.
