 Very glad this did well. Thank you for the votes and comments.
The last three challenges was taken of the momument. This from bottom up and thought this should look nice in the circle challenge so returned there to shoot. The only regret I have is that i could not shoot this at a better time of the day. theres allot more potential to this shot

Unless of course the "sun" in the dome is a flash catchlight burst :) Then I understand you completely...It would 'appear' that this is the case, the low light feeding through the airbrick window looks late afternoon golden and it has made a relief of the green outer plaster lumps/inconsistencies top left/top right, however it's created by the ring of flourescent tubes that you cleverly avoided photographing. I actually like the texture it's created there Rian. It's nice to know a place and visualise the photographers thinking and positioning.

Really amazing. This composition is something to learn from. I'd love to see this again in a better time of day :) but for me, these colors are fantastic.

Great finish Rian - could not get any higher up even if the score wasn't over 7...

This really is a lovely shot--one of my highest votes. The placement of the sun is just perfect... I have trouble imagining that there's a better time of day to shoot! But I'd happily be proven wrong :) Congrats on your blue!

Het nie gestem die week nie, en nou is ek al weer jammer daaroor. Baie geluk Rian. Jy is besig om te diversifiseer. Die monument sal altyd spesiaal bly en jou fotos verewig dit vir die nageslag. so mooi!
