Cape C Class Breakbulk Cargo Ship:
Laid down in 1963 as SS Adabelle Lykes a Maritime Administration type (C3-S-37c) hull under Maritime Administration contract (MA 115) at Bethlehem Steel, Sparrows Point, Baltimore, MD.
Launched in 1964
Delivered to the Maritime Administration in 1964 for operation by Lykes Bros. SS Co.
Reacquired by the Maritime Administration (MARAD) in 1984 and laid up in reserve as part of the MARAD National Defense Reserve Fleet, renamed SS Cape Chalmers
SS Cape Chalmers was assigned to the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Ready Reserve Force (RRF) as AK-5036
When activated SS Cape Chalmers (AK-5036) was assigned to the Military Sealift Command (MSC) as one of the Military Sealift Command's Modular Cargo Delivery System Ready Reserve Force (RRF) Ships
Downgraded to the MARAD National Defense Reserve Fleet from the RRF, 1 October 2001

I like the way the colors are reflecting in the water. That polarizing effect does great things to the oranges.

When I hide the top 1/4 to 1/3 of dark sky, I see a panoramic view that directs my interest to the ship's details; as presented my eye spends much more time on the sky and reflection.
