Still tired from the WPL and though Im still taking pictures Im tired of shooting for challenges.
When I walked in the bushes of a local reserve I almost bumped into a buck. I think we startled each other. I had no camera with me but it was then that I was inspired again to shoot an animal. The little flame was back and when i got the chance went to a bigger reserve where nothing much happened appart animals grazing through the tall grass. I only had about an hours shooting time but the light was perfect for it. Tricky manouvering the car to place subjects as I want them between all the grass and hoping they stand still. I am not one who enjoy driving in a car and looking for animals as this is as much fun as showering in a rainjacket.

Glad the people could enjoy the image for what it is. Black and White is my favourite medium but I whish I was better at it

I was hoping you would find a wild animal from Afrika Rian. Glad to see you managed to get a great shot, despite having to shoot it from a car! Congrats on top ten!

Great shot Rian! I would love to see these beautiful creatures in person in such a natural surrounding as this.

I love all the different variations in this photo between focused and unfocused. It does a great job of getting across the wildness of the plain/savannah.

Pretty -- love the strong contrasts in the zebra stripes in the softness of the tones and focus of the surrounding grasses.

The yellow color is not working for me. Otherwise, I really like this shot, especially the focus.

Well I'm pretty sure I've picked one ribbon winner, and you are the other. Absolutely amazing to the max, I can't fault it one bit. The zebra on the right is almost touchable, and I love how the other one is OOF. A FAVE.
