I'm still interested, but need dates to firm up details. I'll mention again to Jutilda, too! Think Goodman was planning on going also.

Dates and rough costs . . if people know that they can make some sensible decisions.

Well as far as I know the dates are still the same, around the first weekend of July so just assume that until further notice, I am sure this will all be clear in a couple of weeks, we´ll keep you posted :)

You're leaving this all pretty late, I am sure a lot of people have already given up on the Europe GTG this year. If it is going ahead then the most important thing at the moment are the dates so people can start planning the trip and getting their vacation sorted out.

Well I know Heiða is busy busy these days and this is her "show" so I can´t or won´t say anything, perhaps a few PM´s her way will encourage her :)

I was definitely going to go - but as time wears on, I have to make plans for the summer, and I think Iceland won't be included. I even got a travel book for my birthday. *sob*

I hear you, and I haven´t heard from Heiða in a month about this so I don´t have a clue on what the status is, it´s her show...

How's the weather going to be in Iceland in three weeks time? I was also wondering if it's better to shoot during the Summer or the Winter...early Spring?

Honestly, personally my least favorite time of all is the Icelandic spring, no borealis, no snow, everything is yellow and dull and usually not good weather either. Summer you get vivid green and blue colors and good weather, autumn has it´s colors and soft light during morning and evenings and winter has snow, ice and borealis. Spring is just... bleh...

But that´s just me :)

Larus-You still owe me a beer, right?

Since I may have some time off in a few weeks, I thought I'd pop by for a drink but I'll take your word for it on the "bleh" side of things. It was just a thought since the airefare and accomodations are so cheap at this time.

I haven't been keeping up on this thread too well but it looks like there's no movement or solid plans yet...or at all.

Cheers!

yeah, when I was there the exchange rate for the dollar was like 1 to 115 or so. might vary a little bit now but still its fiscally a good time to go.
