.999 Pure Vegas Styleby TooCoolComment: not sure how close you live to vegas - but if you just purchased the chips to photograph, then cashed out - larger chip values might have had more [conceptual] emphasis. visually, i think the glistening/shine is very appealing.
edit: now that i think about it, i wonder if this is considered "the likeness of currency". hrm. not sure, so my previous vote stands. |

Saving for the real thingby GinaRothfelsComment: it seems almost like the dof is too far forward here, as the ends of the words on the book seem to fade into a slight blur at the end of each one. i like the tones and idea - nice job. |

when you got noneby sergutComment: i'm guessing this wasn't someone you knew just posing for you. if it was, a brick wall might have been a better backdrop. even so, i think the distortion of the (fish-eye?) lens works well. the shiny car kinda detracts from it, but the black and white adds back again. 6. |

Second Mortgage!by Firstrich1Comment: great composition - very good use of a diagnol here. if the lighting (reflecting on the RVE) was something you could control, it might have been nice to get VETTE lit up instead, since that's the common nickname. also seems like it could be a bit sharper - the blur is especially noticeable on the piece right about the VE. great idea. |

The Stock Market Crashedby QuAcKeRComment: visually well done, although it would have looked nice without the dust and fingerprints on the metal. conceptually, unless this is supposed to be a murder case (which is probably less likely, considering the newspaper on the chest), the gun shouldn't be several feet away from someone who just shot themself. creative interpretation of the challenge. |

Blackjack pays 3 to 2by ZalComment: i would've either liked to see slightly more dof or slightly less - the dof in the picture makes the chips just sharp enough to attract attention, but just blurry enough to detract appeal. that, and if you could have smoothed out the cloth between the a and n (looks like a little bump or rise), would have improved this photo for me. |

Odour from birth to deathby PabloComment: lovely image. but, just as a matter of taste, i think that it might've looked better either without the single lit candle - or, if more were lit up. 1 out of 8 being lit up seems a bit out of place and throws off some of the balance of the photo (and the smoke) |

MHARIby delarimanComment: lovely shot, but it seems more like use of shallow DOF than soft focus (but it could be the sleepiness getting to me). nonetheless, i like it - stunning clarity |

J'adoreby KonadorComment: beautiful dog and tones. with this composition, it's one of my favorites in this challenge - the empty space on the right gives the dog room to gaze into, and the soft focus provides a "dreamy" effect that's very suitable for this shot. creative. |
