The Fly in the Bushby ImablessedComment: The picture appears predominantly out of focus, with the ostensible subjects (either the fly, or the berries) the least in focus. If the fly was the subject, try making him a little more prominent, either by moving him closer to the center (not necessarily IN the center) or by bringing him more in focus, |

A Snowy Nightby vtruanComment: This is a neat shot, though I can't see how it was "painted with light". I didn't mark down because of that, though. The problem with this shot is two fold. Most importantly, whatever lighting you applied (flash? flashlight?) served to do nothing but highlight the snow falling directly in front of you. It's kinda distracting. Second, the composition is a bit off. I think the trees on the left that are almost incidental in this shot could have been reframed to serve as a lovely "border" for the photo. |

CLASSIC by BANANA REPUBLICby JeileenComment: This is an obscenely difficult shot to pull off, what with all the reflective surfaces. And your shot does suffer from some distracting reflections. I like the plan to give the photo an industrialized feel with the brushed steel background, but the bottom of the bowl is a little distracting, too.
On the upside, you seem to have controlled the reflections off the glass of the bottle really well. |

Fantasia by GordonComment: Probable winner right here. To be thematically consistent, it mighta been nice to have no light trials underneath the brush, ie, where you haven't "painted" yet. But that's a very small nit. Nice job. |

Downtownby ursulaComment: I really love this one. Good architectural studies are fascinating, and hard to do, at least for me. This one is great. The only small complaint is the stairs. They seem a bit soft, or out of focus. |

Breaking Free by FranziskaLangComment: I don't care for the way the title is inserted, nor the font used, but the photos are just so spectacular (particularly the upper right one) that it's easy to look past those nits. Well done! |

circle of zen by magnetic9999Comment: I really, really like this, and appreciate the effect you were going with by backlighting the main photo. I just wish I could have seen a TINY bit more of the main shoot. Very well done, though. |

Flabbergastedby lionelmComment: Hilarious shot. He actually looks a little puzzled. Plus, it's very well exposed! |
