Thrill seekersby sfaliceComment: you have leading lines of the tracks and they lead me to the coaster full of people but the suppost lines also lead me to empty sky. neither the blank sky nor the tiny coaster are strong enough to hold my attention for long. why did you decide to place the people so far off to the left? with the speed voters, one you have drawn his eye out of the frame hi brain says "done, next photo please" a leading lines should make you linger on the image to see what more it has to offer. |

stormclouds over the Tararuasby kiwinickComment: sometimes the most obvious leading lines work the best. Here is a great example of simple strong lines - all that harvest might just walk itself into that barn opening, all the rain will run down the gullies in the hills into the barn too - makes he want to see whats so magnetic in that barn . |

Sweepby adineComment: reminds me of those sun prints we made when we were little - just a blue print on paper. you lines are graceful and your background of hidden ferns is lovely - maybe the light is too harsh on the main one? You leading lines work well - one swoop to te center and the little side lines to draw the viewer back. |

Dreams of Isisby fulgentComment: Beautiful - exotic - the waving skarf implies movement, her face implies stillness - the sunlight is perfect - I can imagine this as a CD cover - Musiic is definately involved here, the lines even look like sheet music. Leading lines like ths that just swirl around without destination are also effective. The point of a leading line is to lead the viewer to what what you want him to look at - your lines say "look at it all, it is all lovely - come around again for another look, did you niotice her smile? her headpiece? her soft colors? come around again, did you see how I balanced the red of her sleeve with the spot of red on her hat? around and around" |

belle-dameby rblantonComment: what an odd view of a flower, so unusual. THe center stuff looks like vegetables - to remind us that all flora are related to one another? the gentle white petals forming your natural frame are lovely in the way that they mimic the shape of the stamen/piston contraption. Also the colors are wonderfully intriguing - a pure white flower, no color to the petals. Inside a rainbow of colors, violet, pink/tan, greens and yellows. Same contrast with the textures smooth petals, pokey/curly/spikey center. One would think that the color/texturecontrast would introduce some tension in the image but it remains gentle and peaceful, probably because of our choice to point the stamen downwards. |

Marsh Dwellersby jenesisComment: Look how that big white cloud is calling to the bird "come fly with me" see how he raises his head to listen? the invisible line between the cloud and the bird is the life of thsi image. The expanse of marshland drawf the egrets and they stand out of place. The perfectly equal expanse of sky matches then in color and grace. A well balanced image. |

Shunnedby BAMartinComment: Talk about leading lines!!! that red skarf is the most poignent - it leads from her hand (hand in marriage symbolism?) to her other hand but doesn't quite reach to him- He has a bit of red around his neck , ckoking on her rejection? Her red flowers and red lips complete the picture of his desire and her desirability. Wonderful!
Forgot to mention the whites for purity - he takes off his white hate and bows to her perfect white chastity (tingles with a bit of red desire on both parts) Message edited by author 2005-07-03 10:31:00. |

Deadly Crossing - Speed Killsby BeagleboyComment: powerful image - the wreath is so still and the road has so much movement - makes the overall impression very tense - the red tones ass to the tension. |
