Mini Madnessby dragonladyComment: I think that the choice of color is rather unfortunate here. I understand that you may not have clothing in arbitrary colors to pick from, but this photo is too dark for the '70s. You could have done a sillhouette effect, and darkened your legs and the skirt. Alternatively, a lighter stockings and skirt would have done it for me...I hope this helps.
Second pass, bumping up. |

Peace by Prime_TimeComment: Similar concept worked twice (that I can remember) - once with US and once with UK flag

I don't see why it couldn't work this time. Taking someone else's (or perhaps your own - I can't tell now of course) idea and making the best out of it is not so bad. The fact that I have seen something similar to this one and haven't seen something similar to other people's does not mean they did not borrow someone else's concept. I'm trying to say that I am not going to score you down for lack of originality if I like what I see, and I do like what I see.
bumping up to 8 in the second pass. |

Punch Card Debugger 76 - Student Editionby nrulkovComment: returning for comments:
We had card punchers at school... did not have to cut the holes out.
Meets the challenge:9
composition: 7 (I would have placed the holes more in focus, and got rid of the chads)
Lighting: 6
total: 7 (bumping up from initial 6) |

Pet Rocks of Ages Cemeteryby KathyComment: It must be something I'm not getting about those pet rocks... so I'll assume that it does meet the challenge (somewhere in the world it is hopefully obvious) and concentrate purely on the technicals.
In my opinion, image lacks color saturation, just a bit. I would have also preferred to have seen more of the white area on the top, not overexposed of course. DoF is excellent. 6. |

The Leisure Suitby myceliumComment: Hard under basic editing, but was it possible at all to get away from having this attention-grabbing crease in the background? Good photo otherwise. 6. |

Far Out, Manby jab119Comment: Is that a Cingular Wireless logo :-)
I like the way the colors play here. Curious to read about the setup. |

Hard Times...by MontereykiddoComment: I only wish my first association was 1970s... but it did come across eventually.
I like the b/w choice here, and the facial expression of the protester.

Why ?by RUEDISCHMUTZComment: This red framing really takes away from the fire effect. My eyes go back to it all the time. Other than that, you nailed the challenge and very good capture of the flames... this is hard to do right. 7. |

Still Cruisin' After All These Yearsby TuckersmomComment: I like the b/w choice here, fits the challenge as well as suits this image perfectly. Do you think that the image could have been rotated right by 1 deg? Those houses look crooked. |
